Definition of


The idea that someones is "worthy" of credit ... they have enough income or assets to repay a loan.

Example: Sam has a stable job and owns a car, and is thought to be creditworthy. A bank is likely to let Sam borrow money.

But Alex works only part time and has no assets so is not creditworthy. Alex is unlikely to be loaned much money.
