Conjunction

Conjunction

Where statements get joined by an "and" to make a new statement.

The original statements must both be true for the conjunction to be true.

Otherwise the conjunction is false.

Example: can we buy chocolate at the shop?

• does the shop have chocolate?
• do we have money?

If they do have chocolate and we do have money the conjunction is true.
If they do not have chocolate and we do have money the conjunction is false.
If they do have chocolate and we do not have money the conjunction is false.
If they do not have chocolate and we do not have money the conjunction is false.
