Diplodocus Using Coordinates

You can draw a Diplodocus like this one:

You will need:

• Pens or paints
• Some squared paper

If you don't have any squared paper you can use this file.

Once you have your materials, draw an x-axis and y-axis on the squared paper:

• The x-axis (horizontal) should go from 0 to 28
• The y-axis (vertical) should go from 0 to 19

Now plot these coordinates on the grid, and then join them up point-by-point:

• (24,18) (24,17) (22,16) (20,11) (19,6) (19,2) (17,2) (17,6) 

• (16,5) (15,2) (13,2) (14,5) (14,6) (12,6) (12,2) (10,2) (10,4) 

• (9,2) (7,2) (9,6) (7,6) (4,4) (2,3) (0,2) (1,3) (3,5) (5,9)

• (9,11) (17,11) (21,17) (23,18) 

You can then draw in any detail you wish and paint your diplodocus as you want.
