How to Count
To discover how many, we count! Here's how to do it:
- Point to each thing one at a time
- Say the numbers in order: "one, two, three..."
- The last number we say tells us the total number of things
Example: Counting Apples
We point to three apples as we say the numbers:
'One... Two... Three!'
Because the last number was three, we know there are 3 apples in the collection.
