A Prime Number is:
a whole number above 1 that cannot be made by multiplying other whole numbers
When it can be made by multiplying other whole numbers, it's called a Composite Number.
Here we see how it works:
2 is Prime, 3 is Prime, 4 is Composite (=2×2), 5 is Prime, and so on...
And there are infinitely many prime numbers! 1 is neither prime nor composite.
