Autological
Have you ever met a word that describes itself? We call these autological words (or homological words).
For example, the word "short" is indeed a short word! So "short" is autological.

- Word: Yup, that's exactly what it is!
- English: Well, it certainly isn't French.
- Erudite: It is a very scholarly word, and it means scholarly.
- Noun: Verb, adjective, and adverb are nouns, too!
- Buzzword: We've been hearing this one everywhere lately.
- Polysyllabic: It has many syllables! (poly-syl-lab-ic)
- Unhyphenated: And it should stay that way!
- Hellenic: This means "of Greek origin," and it comes from ancient Greek.
- Obfuscatory: This word means "making things unclear." It certainly makes simple ideas sound complicated!
- Suffixed: It has the suffix "-ed" right at the end.
- Brief: It isn't long.
- Common: Yes, it is.
- Double-barrelled: It certainly is.
- Existing: It does exist!
- Fourteen-letter: Count them!
- Fifteen-lettered: Count them, too.
- Hyphenless: No hyphens here.
- Hyphen-using: Ah, there's one!
- Pentasyllabic: I count exactly 5 syllables.
- Pronounceable: I managed!
- Simple: Indeed.
